Paste one key. Your store takes card payments through your Whitcomb account.

== Description ==

Process Now is the setup step for Whitcomb merchants, and it is one step.

Your Whitcomb rep sends you an activation key. You install this plugin, open **Process Now** in
your WordPress menu, paste the key, and press the button. That is the whole configuration — there
is no processor account to open, no API keys to copy, no webhook to register, and no settings page
to work through.

* **One key.** It carries everything. The plugin works out your account, your store code and your
  reporting connection from it on its own.
* **Install before you are approved.** If Whitcomb is still reviewing your application, the plugin
  sets itself up and waits. Your checkout arms itself the moment you are approved — you will not
  need to open WordPress again.
* **No card details on your site.** Customers pay on Whitcomb's own payment page and come straight
  back to your order-received page, so card data never passes through your server.
* **Your orders, in your portal.** Every order is reported to your Whitcomb merchant portal, so
  what you see there matches what your shop sold.

== Installation ==

1. In WordPress: **Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin**, choose `whitcomb-process-now.zip`,
   **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
2. Open **Process Now** in the left-hand menu.
3. Paste your activation key and press **PROCESS NOW**.

WooCommerce should be installed and active. If it is not, the plugin still binds to your account
and waits for it.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Where do I get the activation key? =

From your Whitcomb rep. They can send it to you again at any time from their desk.

= I pressed the button and it says STANDBY. =

Your account is bound but not approved yet, or there is something outstanding on it — the screen
says which. Nothing more to install; it arms itself when the account is cleared.

= Is my key secret? =

Yes. Treat it like a password: it is what connects your store to your Whitcomb account.

= What happens if I deactivate the plugin? =

Card payments stop. Your orders, your account and your key are unaffected, and re-activating puts
everything back.

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.8 =
* Your store tells your Whitcomb portal which time zone it runs on, so an order shows the same date and time in your portal that you see here in WooCommerce.

= 1.0.7 =
* The order-history sync now covers the store's whole history (it stopped at one year), walks it
  by date so a busy shop's new orders no longer shift the pages and repeat, and tells your
  Whitcomb portal when it has finished. It runs again once after this update.
* A report your host dropped is queued and re-sent on the next sweep instead of being lost, and
  the hourly sweep now re-sends every order changed in the last two hours — refunds and status
  changes included — not just the newest twenty.
* Each check-in carries the store's own order count, so your portal can show how much of your
  history it holds.

= 1.0.6 =
* Works with WooCommerce's block checkout (the Cart and Checkout blocks): the card option is
  listed there as well as on the classic checkout. Stores on the block checkout previously read
  "There are no payment methods available" although everything was set up.

= 1.0.5 =
* Housekeeping: the plugin's internal comments are tidied and the footer of the Process Now screen
  points at the portal chat and the phone line. No change in what the plugin does.

= 1.0.4 =
* Updates arrive inside WordPress: the Plugins screen offers each new version and installs it with one click, like any other plugin.

= 1.0.3 =
* Order reports now include the billing phone and billing address, and the upgrade re-runs the
  order history sync once so past orders carry them too.

= 1.0.2 =
* Order reports are delivered reliably on shared hosting, a hourly sweep re-sends the newest
  orders, and the upgrade re-runs the order history sync once.

= 1.0.1 =
* The status board no longer prints the account holder name or the raw store code.

= 1.0.0 =
* First release: one-key activation, hosted card checkout, order reporting, and automatic arming
  when an account is approved.
