Whitcomb Payments wants every merchant, applicant, and customer to be able to use this site — including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, and we treat gaps as bugs.
What we do today
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure on public pages;
- Visible keyboard focus indicators, and interfaces operable without a mouse;
- Color choices checked for contrast against our ivory and forest palette;
- Text that resizes with browser settings, and layouts that reflow on small screens;
- Reduced-motion preferences respected on animated elements;
- Payment pages that keep forms simple, labeled, and error-tolerant.
Known limitations
Card entry itself happens on our processing partner’s hosted page, whose accessibility we don’t control directly — we pass on everything we’re told. Some older documents in merchant files may be scans supplied by third parties.
