Disclosures

Effective August 23, 2026 · Whitcomb Payments, 660 Madison Avenue, Suite 2349, New York, NY 10065

These disclosures explain what Whitcomb Payments (“Whitcomb”) is — and, just as importantly, what it is not — so that every merchant, partner, and visitor can read this Site with the right expectations.

1. Whitcomb’s role

Whitcomb Payments is an independent merchant introducer and sales office. Our service is the arrangement: preparing the underwriting file, presenting it to the processing partner suited to the business, managing questions through activation, and servicing the relationship afterward. Whitcomb is not a bank, a lender, a licensed money transmitter, a payment processor, a card network, a broker-dealer, or an investment adviser.

2. Partner underwriting decides

Every placement — processing, banking, or funding — is subject to the receiving partner’s own underwriting, agreements, and approval. Approval is never guaranteed, pricing and terms are set in the partner’s documents, and a partner may decline or terminate an account under its own rules. Prior declines or terminations do not disqualify an applicant, but they must be disclosed in the file.

3. Processing platforms

Merchants introduced by Whitcomb process on established third-party platforms under each platform’s own agreement. Depending on the program, a merchant may process on the merchant’s own platform account, with a Whitcomb plugin providing volume reporting and account-health monitoring only. Whitcomb does not hold settlement funds for an introduced merchant, and an introduced merchant’s processing keys stay on that merchant’s own systems.

The one exception is ownership, not introduction: for an entity under common ownership or control with Whitcomb’s principal — never for an independently owned merchant — checkout may run through a processing account Whitcomb itself holds, rather than a separate account in that entity’s own name.

4. Retired program

Whitcomb’s built-in checkout program (the “Instant Plugin,” under which participating merchants processed through a Whitcomb-operated account) was retired on August 23, 2026. It accepts no new enrollments, and outstanding checkout links from that program no longer accept payment. Whitcomb’s own application fees and invoices are unaffected. Section 3’s common-ownership exception is a separate, narrower arrangement, unrelated to this retired program.

5. Fees

Placement fees are quoted per merchant based on vertical, volume, and risk class, and every fee is put in writing before signature. Where an application fee applies, it is currently US$199.99 and is shown, with its due date, in the merchant’s portal before payment. Platform processing fees are separate and are set out in the platform’s own agreement.

6. Risk classes

“Class I” (standard), “Class II” (specialty), and “Class III” (high-risk) are Whitcomb’s internal way of describing the placement work a file needs. They are not card-network, government, or regulatory designations.

7. Card data

Card details entered on any checkout connected to this Site are handled by PCI-certified payment infrastructure and never touch Whitcomb servers.

8. Site content

The Site is general information about our services. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and nothing on it is an offer or a commitment to place, fund, or approve any business.

9. Trademarks

WordPress, WooCommerce, and all other third-party names and marks referenced on this Site or in Whitcomb materials are the property of their respective owners. Reference to them describes compatibility or the location of a service and does not imply sponsorship or endorsement of Whitcomb by any of those companies.
